Role:
We are seeking a driven Talent Acquisition Specialist with experience recruiting within the automotive industry. This role will partner closely with engineering, R D, operations, and manufacturing leaders to develop and execute targeted recruiting strategies for technical and specialized positions across multiple states.
This is a hybrid position, reporting to our Troy, MI location with an expectation of working 3 days per week in the office and 2 days remotely from home. This will be Monday-Friday, 40-hours a week.
Responsibilities Also Include:
Responsible for Candidate Sourcing Strategy and Selection
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job intake, sourcing, screening, interviewing, candidate selection, offer negotiation, and onboarding coordination.
- Creates internal and external job postings for Valeo opportunities on social media, job boards, and other tools used within their scope; follows the advertising guidelines to better promote and market Valeo as an employer of choice.
- Partner closely with hiring managers throughout the recruitment process to align on talent needs, ensure effective candidate evaluation, to ensure an efficient hiring experience.
- Manages candidate screening using available tools and channels: applications through Workday, social media (i.e., LinkedIn and others), and searches through external databases and job boards.
- Maintains social and professional networks to engage with potential candidates and build talent pipelines.
- Represent the organization at career fairs, university recruiting events, industry events, networking events, and community initiatives.
- Regularly interacts with TAC team members, Hiring Managers, and the HR network to facilitate talent acquisition processes and standards and strengthen our business partnership.
What You Should Have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field.
- 5+ years of recruitment experience within an automotive supplier, OEM, or manufacturing environment
- Experience recruiting for engineering, manufacturing,corporate, and technical positions
- Experience with Workday is required.
- Experience tracking recruiting metrics such as time-to-fill, quality of hire, offer acceptance, source effectiveness, and requisition activity is preferred.
- Experience with career fairs, university recruiting, industry events, and employer branding initiatives is a plus.
