1. Bachelor's degree, preferred; 2. Fluent in both Spanish and English; 3. Ability to stand for prolonged hours; 4. Recruiting and/or administrative experience preferred; 5. Ability to enter, track and interpret data; 6. Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills; 7. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Trustees may find appropriate.PRIMARY PURPOSE
The primary purpose of this position is to develop, coordinate, and implement comprehensive recruitment strategies to attract, identify, and assist in hiring highly qualified and diverse instructional and support personnel for TylerISD. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES 1.
Develop recruiting strategies designed to identify highly qualified candidates through various recruiting tools and resources. 2. Use job boards, social media and referral networks to source candidates. 3. Collaborate with the Tyler ISD Communications Department with social media campaigns, recruitment marketing, etc. 4. Organize recruiting trips and participate in recruiting fairs in- and out-of-state and at universities and other organizations for the purpose of identifying highly qualified candidates for the district. 5. Develop and maintain recruiting materials and displays (recruitment packets, flyers, announcements, advertisements, etc.). 6. Oversee and collaborate with HR Specialist-Auxiliary with all hiring events. 7. Oversee and coordinate Tyler ISD hiring events. 8. Serve as district liaison with college and university career teacher preparation officials and placement offices, Regional Education Service Center staff, professional associations, and other recruiting resource organizations whose programming prepares highly qualified certified teachers. 9. Coordinate and assist with Grow Your Own Program and Teach for Tyler Program. 10. Maintain communications with Tyler ISD graduates who signed Intent to Hire letters. 11. Works directly with the Director of Bilingual/ESL Programs for the purpose of recruiting, hiring, and retaining highly qualified bilingual instructional personnel. 12. Work cooperatively with the principals and staff to post job openings and to select highly qualified personnel for all assignments. 13. Assist with compiling and reporting bilingual projections of staff and personnel needs. 14. Maintain current bilingual vacancy list through regular meetings with Chief Human Resource Officer, Director of Bilingual/ESL, and campuses. 15. Evaluates job candidates' strengths based on the districts screening and interviewing process. 16. Oversee and assist with online screener of candidates. 17. Maintain statistics related to recruitment and retention as well as focusing recruitment for diversity and highneeds. 18. Collaborates with District mentoring and teacher retention program by providing input for appropriate staff development. 19. Develop an integrated tracking process for each applicant from intake to hiring, including postapplication/hiring follow-up and evaluation. 20. Assist Coordinator of HR with New Employee Orientation preparation, participation, and tracking data of participants. 21. Assist Coordinator of HR with beginning of the year paraprofessional training. 22. Network with community partners. 23. Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and local board policy. 24. Perform duties in a professional, ethical, and responsible manner as defined in the TEA Code of Ethics for Educators and perform other tasks and assume such responsibilities as related to the position and as assigned.EQUIPMENT USED
