The McLennan Community College Student Ambassadors consist of honorary students selected to represent the college on campus and in the community. They will attend and assist with college fairs and recruiting events, lead campus tours, welcome and help with group campus visits, promote college enrollment throughout the local schools and community, assist with outreach programs and services, as well as assist prospective students with questions regarding the enrollment process. This position receives general direction from the Coordinator of Highlander Central and Recruitment and exercises no supervision. • Employee may not work more than 19.5 hours per week•
NOTE:
This is a security sensitive position and an appropriate background investigation will be made on applicants being strongly considered for this position.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Sedentary-Desk work; occasional field trips e.g. for college or program activities. Minimal Hazard/Exposure-Standard office setting. At least minimal environmental controls are in place to assure health and comfort.
BENEFITS
Part-Time Retirement. Participation in Medicare Part A, but not Social Security (FICA).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Must be a current MCC student, with a GPA of 3.0 or higher at McLennan; Must have completed at least 12 college credit hours; Must be in and maintain good academic standing; Must be registered for a minimum of 6 semester hours at the time of selection and during time served.
