08/26/2026 Position Announcement Utah Tech University is seeking a motivated and student-focused Part-Time Admissions Recruiter to support the University's enrollment efforts by engaging with prospective students from a variety of admissions-generated lead sources, including Encoura, ACT, Appily, and other inquiry and prospect databases. This position is also responsible for working with juniors from Utah High Schools and traveling during the months of January through March representing Utah Tech University at the statewide Utah Higher Education Days tour providing exceptional customer service and personalized support. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, highly organized, and passionate about helping students navigate their path to higher education. As a member of the Admissions team, you will play a vital role in connecting future Trailblazers with an exceptional educational experience and supporting the University's enrollment mission. Responsibilities Proactively contact prospective students generated through admissions lead sources, including Encoura, ACT, Appily, and other recruitment platforms. Build and maintain relationships with prospective students and their families through phone calls, text messaging, email, virtual meetings, and other communication methods. Educate prospective high school juniors in Utah about Utah Tech University's academic programs, admissions requirements, scholarships, financial aid, student life, and campus resources. Maintain accurate records of student interactions and recruitment activities within the University's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. Collaborate with Admissions staff to execute recruitment campaigns and outreach initiatives. Assist with admissions events, campus visits, orientation programs, and other enrollment activities as needed. Meet established outreach and enrollment goals while providing exceptional customer service. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Admissions. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Relevant education and/or professional experience in admissions, recruitment, sales, marketing, customer service, education, or a related field is preferred. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard computer applications. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in admissions, recruitment, customer service, sales, or higher education. Knowledge of or experience using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system (such as Element451, Slate, Salesforce, or similar). Experience working with prospective students, families, or educational outreach programs. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong customer service orientation and relationship-building skills. Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations. Comfortable making outbound phone calls and engaging prospective students. Strong problem-solving and follow-through skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment. Commitment to supporting student success and Utah Tech University's mission. Working Conditions Year-round, part-time position based on the Utah Tech University campus in St. George, Utah. Primarily office-based with extensive use of computers, telephones, and CRM software. Heavy travel throughout the state of Utah during the months of January, February, March Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to support recruitment events or enrollment initiatives. POSITION DETAILS, COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Part-time hourly staff position (up to 29 hours per week). Hourly rate of $20/hr.
