Community Recruitment Specialist Redmond, WA - onsite 3-6 Months
ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for Community Recruitment Specialists who know how to build relationships, engage local communities, and turn connections into participation. This is not a traditional HR recruiting role. You'll use a combination of digital outreach, social media, community partnerships, referrals, local events, and relationship-building to recruit participants for paid AI research studies. Depending on the project and market, your outreach may be primarily online, primarily community-based, or a combination of both. Successful recruiters know how to meet people where they are, whether that's through online communities, local organizations, networking events, community gatherings, referral networks, or other outreach channels. As a Community Recruitment Specialist, you'll serve as OneForma's local representative, helping build awareness, develop trusted community connections, and connect people with paid research opportunities that help shape the future of
AI. WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Develop and execute participant recruitment strategies using a mix of digital outreach, social media, referrals, community partnerships, events, and other creative sourcing methods.
- Build and maintain relationships with local organizations, schools, businesses, cultural groups, and community networks that support participant recruitment efforts.
- Engage with potential participants online and in person, educating them about research opportunities and guiding them through the registration process.
- Identify and develop new outreach channels and sourcing strategies to reach specialized or hard-to-find participant populations.
- Represent OneForma professionally in your local market, building awareness, credibility, and trust within the communities you serve.
- Adapt participant recruitment strategies based on changing project requirements, target audiences, timelines, and recruitment goals.
- Post study opportunities through online, social, and community-based channels (e.g., Indeed, Craigslist, LinkedIn, Facebook groups, and local community networks) to attract participants and build pipelines.
- Track outreach activity, participant pipeline progress, and recruitment results using company tools and reporting systems.
- Collaborate with recruiting, scheduling, and project teams to achieve participant recruitment and study completion goals.
REQUIREMENTS
- Based in Seattle/Redmond, WA
- Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills for participant outreach, community engagement, and reporting.
- Comfortable building relationships and engaging people from a wide range of backgrounds both online and in person.
- Creative, resourceful, proactive, and results-driven, with the ability to work independently, manage your time, and consistently meet goals.
- Experience in participant recruitment, community outreach, community organizing, canvassing, brand ambassador programs, events, sales, marketing, membership growth, or similar roles that required engaging people, building relationships, and driving participation.
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel) and comfortable using social media platforms, messaging apps, and digital outreach tools.
- Able to travel within your assigned market and occasionally to other markets.
PREFERRED
- Background in participant recruitment, community outreach, or AI data collection.
- Experience building outreach campaigns from scratch — not just executing existing ones.
- Experience using online, social, and community-based outreach channels to attract and engage target audiences and build recruitment pipelines.
- Experience engaging multicultural communities across different demographics and backgrounds.
- Speaking multiple languages is a plus.
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 36.0 - 40.0 per week
