Northwestern Mutual is seeking a motivated and results-driven Recruiter / Talent Acquisition Specialist to lead recruitment and selection efforts for our district and network office. This role is responsible for executing recruiting strategies that attract top talent and support the achievement of activity and full-time contract goals. The ideal candidate is highly energetic, relationship-focused, and passionate about building strong talent pipelines. Key ResponsibilitiesTalent Sourcing & Recruitment Build and maintain effective referral networks and productive Centers of Influence (COIs). Develop and execute qualified lead generation strategies through referrals, networking, advertising, career fairs, social media, and other recruiting channels. Actively participate in community organizations, clubs, and events to promote and strengthen the Northwestern Mutual brand. Review resumes, identify qualified candidates, and schedule initial interviews. Conduct candidate screenings, administer selection tools, and guide candidates through the recruitment process. Maintain consistent and professional communication with candidates throughout the hiring process. Marketing & Relationship Development Coordinate recruitment marketing initiatives, including advertising campaigns, direct mail, community events, and other outreach activities. Collaborate with Northwestern Mutual recruiters to share candidate leads, recruiting strategies, and best practices. Build relationships within the community to expand recruiting opportunities and increase brand awareness. Reporting, Analysis & Process Improvement Track and report weekly recruiting activities and results to leadership. Utilize recruiting software and applicant tracking systems to maintain accurate candidate records and databases. Assist with leadership team meetings and prepare recruiting activity and performance reports. Analyze recruiting metrics and selection ratios to identify process inefficiencies and implement improvements. Support contract processing and licensing responsibilities, as needed. QualificationsRequired/Preferred Experience Bachelor's degree preferred. 1-3 years of professional experience in recruiting, sales, talent acquisition, or the financial services industry. Experience prospecting and generating leads through phone outreach, networking, or face-to-face interactions preferred. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals at all organizational levels. Established professional network and active community involvement are highly desirable.
