JOB TITLE
Student Ambassador for the College of Arts and Sciences
JOB PURPOSE
To assist with recruiting endeavors for the College of Arts and Sciences as well as to support their home department with managerial tasks. Student will also serve on the College of Arts and Sciences Dean's Undergraduate Advisory Committee
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Make phone calls to prospective students. Write post cards to students who have begun the UW application process. Assist with on campus recruiting events including but not limited to Saddle Up, Campus Pass, Discovery Days, and New Student Days Tabling at events and providing information about the College to prospective students and their families. Ensuring that all information is accurate and confirming with the Recruiting Coordinator if there is uncertainty. Comfort working in complex, fluid work environments and reporting to multiple people. Aid departments with their day-to-day operations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalent Experience with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) and phone call communications Majoring or minoring in an A&S degree program
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Positive, professional communication Knowledge of multiple A&S departments on campus
