HR and Recruiting Manager Summary of Position:
The HR and Recruiting Manager owns the full employee lifecycle across multiple restaurant locations, including recruiting, onboarding, HR operations, payroll coordination, benefits administration, compliance, and employee relations. This role partners closely with General Managers, payroll and leadership to ensure operational excellence, legal compliance, and a strong team member experience. C ompensation and

$85,000 - $90,000 base annual salary Performance Bonus - up to 10% of annual salary 120 hours of annual PTO Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance will be provided. World Wrapps employer contribution will be based on 100% for the employee and 50% for the employee's dependents on the company's base health plan.
Retirement Savings Plan Key Responsibilities:
HR Operations & Compliance Own all recurring people processes, including performance reviews, documentation management, audits, trackers, and reporting. Ensure accurate employee records across HRIS, payroll, and internal systems. Serve as the primary HR point of contact for GMs, providing guidance on policies, terminations, investigations, and employee relations matters. Handle workers' compensation claims, employment claims, leaves of absence, and EDD/state reporting. Payroll & Benefits Administration Partner with payroll to support bi-weekly processing, approvals, corrections, final pay, and issue resolution. Manage ongoing benefits administration including enrollments, terminations, audits, invoicing reviews, and open enrollment. Partner with external vendors (payroll, insurance brokers, benefits providers) to ensure accuracy and compliance. Recruiting & Onboarding Lead hourly and GM recruiting efforts including sourcing, job postings, applicant screening, interviews, offers, and candidate communication. Own onboarding for hourly and management hires, ensuring timely completion of all systems, documentation, training materials, and checklists. Conduct in-person onboarding and HR process training for General Managers. Performance, Reporting & Analytics Produce regular people reporting including turnover analysis, engagement insights, tip trends, bonus tracking, and Weekly Business Review inputs. Analyze trends across locations, roles, and lifecycle stages; communicate findings and recommendations to leadership and managers. Engagement & Culture Programs Manage team member engagement surveys and deliver actionable feedback reports to GMs. Own recognition and milestone programs including birthdays, anniversaries, referrals, and monthly recognition initiatives Coordinate gifts, certificates, communications, and leadership notifications tied to engagement programs. Offboarding Oversee offboarding for managers including asset recovery, system deactivation, and third-party notifications. Manage voluntary and involuntary terminations, ensuring compliance, proper documentation, final pay accuracy, and system access removal.
Knowledge and Experience:
3-5+ years of experience in HR Operations, People Operations, or HR Management (multi-location or hospitality experience strongly preferred). Strong working knowledge of California labor laws, payroll practices, benefits administration, and compliance requirements. Proven experience managing recruiting for hourly and leadership roles. Highly organized with the ability to manage recurring deadlines, trackers, and reporting across multiple locations. Confident communicator capable of advising managers on sensitive employee relations matters. Experience with HRIS, benefits platforms, and data reporting (Bamboo, SpotOn, Ease, etc. a plus).
