Job Summary Responsible for managing prospect evaluation process for the Wrestling program. Work with the Head Coach to develop and implement the recruitment process, priorities and targets of prospects for the coaching staff. Ensure the recruitment plan developed by the head wrestling coach stays on track. Responsible for the identification of a futuristic recruiting prospect program. Organize the official and unofficial prospect visits. Monitor and facilitate assistant coaches recruiting visits. Provide direction and consistency for the staff. Provide instruction, training, and motivation to prepare student-athletes for practice, games or competitive events. Instruct student-athletes in sport performance principles, game strategies and safety rules.
What You'll Be Doing:
Prospect Evaluation Identify, evaluate, and rank prospects. Watch videos and provide screening process to determine recruiting targets. Provide direction to the Coaching Staff through all available sources to determine recruiting priorities. Work with Head Coach to assign and monitor coaches' recruiting areas. Data Management Collect data and video on potential recruiting targets. Supervise the management of the recruiting database. Maintain and update recruiting boards and lists. Supervise the securing of academic transcripts and guide signees through the admissions process. Organize all recruiting mailings. Supervision of Visits Supervise the coordination of all official and unofficial visits. Responsible for Game Day prospect visits and itineraries. Manage logistics of prospect visits. Coaching/Instruction Provide instruction, training, and motivation to prepare student-athletes for practice, games or competitive events. Instruct student-athletes in sport performance principles, game strategies and safety rules. Observe athletes in practice and training, analyze performance data/statistics and instruct athletes on technique. Collect and analyze tactical/statistical data and game film of opposing teams with student-athletes and recommend game-day strategies for student athletes. Plan, schedule, organize and conduct practice sessions. Compliance Monitor the number of visits and coordinate all paperwork to document official and unofficial visit activity. Update and educate coaching staff on all recruiting rules changes. Serve as liaison between recruiting department and Compliance office. Operations Perform other operational duties as assigned by the Head Coach.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree Degree in Business, Management, Organizational and Leadership Supervision or related field of study preferred Four (4) years coaching, playing or sports administration experience at the collegiate level Skills needed: Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Knowledge of wrestling fundamentals and rules of the game. Computer proficient in Microsoft Office and related software; high level of Internet research and engagement ability. (word processing, spreadsheets, database, Internet, etc.) Excellent (oral & written) communications skills with ability to effectively communicate with student-athletes, coaches, administrators, faculty, staff, and parents. Ability to read, interpret, instruct, and effectively communicate complex rules, regulations, and guidelines. Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet established deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
