PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Meet regularly with the Director of Continuing Education to determine no-cost program needs, benchmarks, and establish timelines for completion.
  • Facilitate curriculum development meeting(s) to collect information on program delivery, support needed, and to communicate budget allocations to instructors associated with the grant.
  • Visit with community stakeholders to introduce the various training programs and solicit support.
  • Connect with regional employers who are seeking trained personnel in line with current workforce training offerings and encourage regional businesses to serve as employer partners.
  • Meet regularly with grant partners, including MassHire of North Central, to review student recruitment, eligibility, enrollment, and schedule on-site job training workshops
  • Inform program participants of local resources that are accessible to attendees to aid in retention and completion efforts.
  • Create marketing materials to announce upcoming training opportunities available to program attendees.
  • Mentor all student cohorts regularly to establish a productive relationship and identify potential barriers that may impede a student's pathway to employment.
  • Attend all grant partner meetings to collect timely information regarding matters related to training operations.
  • Serve as liaison for the Student Emergency Relief Fund, connecting with students to determine unforeseen needs and supports that aid program completion through collaborative efforts with the Fiscal Manager.
  • Analyze student certification, completion, and job placement data to improve program outcomes in future cohorts, and to aid the development of future grant applications.
  • Provide accurate data regarding grant spending, student/instructor feedback, school-to-business partnerships, and delivery models to refine workforce training program outcomes continuously.
  • Coordinate and organize program-related ceremonies, orientation events, and additional informational events.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position may require long periods of standing and sitting. The individual may be exposed to ultraviolet light, as it is found in computer monitors and copying equipment. The individual may be exposed to various hazards in the building.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
This is a full-time, twelve (12) month position with a work week of
  • Monday-Thursday - 11 am-7 pm
  • Friday - 8 am-4 pm Grant-funded position.
Initial salary will be established by the Administrative Assistant salary schedule. Fringe benefits as outlined in the Non-union Personnel policy.
EVALUATION
In accordance with the School Committee Policy.
