Responsibilities:
Learning Strategy & Program Development Develop and execute learning strategies aligned with business and branch/operations needs. Conduct training needs assessments across corporate, divisional, and branch levels. Design scalable learning programs (instructor-led, virtual, blended, and self-paced). Create competency models, career pathways, and curricula for operational, technical, sales, and leadership roles. Maintain the training catalog and annual learning calendar. Branch & Operations Training Support Partner with branch and operations leadership to identify and address frontline training needs. Develop and deliver technical product, systems, warehouse, counter, sales (account manager & counter sales), and job-specific training. Build and manage train-the-trainer programs to support consistent delivery across locations. Support new-hire onboarding and ramp-up at the branch level. Leadership Development & Talent Growth Design and facilitate leadership development programs for supervisors and managers. Support succession planning through targeted learning pathways. Provide coaching and consultation to leaders on employee development. Learning Systems & Cross-Functional Training Support Administer the Learning Management System, including assignments, tracking, reporting, and documentation. Partner with the EHS Manager to support the coordination, delivery, and LMS tracking of EHS-led safety and compliance training (EHS retains ownership of content, regulatory requirements, and compliance oversight). Coordinate with other functional leaders and subject-matter experts to support company-wide training initiatives. Manage relationships with external training providers, consultants, and manufacturers as appropriate. Performance Measurement & Continuous Improvement Evaluate training effectiveness using feedback, assessments, and business metrics. Develop and monitor KPIs for learning impact and ROI. Continuously improve content, delivery methods, and programs based on data. Leadership, Administration & Project Management Manage the Learning & Development budget. Build strong partnerships with executive, divisional, and branch leadership. Manage multiple projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Instructional Design, Business, or a related field (Master's preferred). 5+ years of progressive Learning & Development experience, ideally in a multi-location wholesale, distribution, manufacturing, or operations-focused environment. Proven track record designing, delivering, and evaluating leadership, technical, sales, onboarding, and operations training programs. Hands-on experience administering a Learning Management System (LMS), including course assignments, tracking, reporting, and compliance documentation. Strong facilitation, coaching, stakeholder management, and project management skills. Ability and willingness to travel to branch locations as needed. Technical Proficiencies Advanced LMS administration and reporting (experience with systems such as Cornerstone, Workday Learning, SAP SuccessFactors, or similar platforms preferred). Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools Strong command of Microsoft Office 365 / Google Workspace (especially PowerPoint, Excel for data analysis and dashboards, and SharePoint/Teams). Experience facilitating virtual and blended learning via Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Webex, or similar platforms. Ability to analyze learning data, build KPIs, and measure training effectiveness and ROI using spreadsheets, dashboards, or basic analytics tools. Familiarity with instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM, etc.) and adult learning principles. Comfort working with competency models, career pathway frameworks, and learning content management systems. Preferred Experience building and managing train-the-trainer programs. Background supporting safety/compliance training in partnership with EHS teams. Prior experience in an employee-owned (ESOP) or strong people-first culture.
