Position Purpose The Company Education Manager leads Bart's Electric's internal education strategy outside of the apprenticeship program. You'll identify workforce skill gaps, develop and coordinate training programs, and build scalable learning systems that improve performance, safety, quality, and leadership readiness across the organization. Partnering with department leaders, Talent Development, the Apprenticeship team, and external providers, you'll align training with business needs and future workforce capability, and serve as the central point of coordination for internal workforce education. Departments supported include Operations, Project Management, Estimating, Accounting, Safety, Prefabrication, Service, and Field Leadership. Program Development Design and manage internal (non-apprenticeship) training programs — Foreman and Superintendent development, Project Manager academies, Estimator development, software and technology training, onboarding, and technical skills. Develop learning objectives, training pathways, materials, and program structure. Coordinate subject-matter experts for advanced technical content and ensure consistency and quality across programs. Training Delivery Coordinate instructors, scheduling, and logistics; manage the company training calendar. Facilitate select education programs; ensure materials, equipment, and facilities are ready. Manage enrollment and communications; evaluate effectiveness through feedback and performance metrics. Certifications & Partnerships Research, recommend, and implement industry certifications and credential pathways (OSHA, NCCER, manufacturer certifications, continuing education). Build and maintain relationships with manufacturers, industry associations, and external education providers. Systems & Reporting Coordinate with LMS administrators; maintain training records and completion data. Track participation, completion, and certifications; build reports and dashboards for department and executive leadership. Measure training effectiveness and recommend continuous improvements. Cross-Functional Collaboration Align with Talent Development on leadership development and succession pathways. Partner with the Apprenticeship team on apprentice-to-journeyman progression. Coordinate with Workforce Development and external education to share resources and expand offerings. Success Measures Annual department education plans completed and departments actively engaged in training. Training participation and completion rates; certification attainment. Department-leader satisfaction and internal promotion readiness. Reduction in identified skill gaps. Improved workforce capability, operational performance, and safety outcomes. Qualifications Experience in workforce development, technical education, construction, operations, or skilled trades. Strong program/project-management and organizational skills. Experience building or delivering training programs and learning resources. Ability to build relationships across departments and influence stakeholders. Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS). Knowledge of construction-industry workforce development preferred. Excellent communication, planning, and facilitation skills. What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience. Full benefits (medical, dental, vision) and 401(k) match. A merit shop with real room to grow — we promote on contribution, not tenure.
