- Bus Maintenance Training to develop, implement and coordinate employees training and qualification programs for the maintenance and servicing of Port Authority of Allegheny County d/b/a Pittsburgh Regional Transit (PRT)'s bus fleet and small transit vehicles.
Essential Functions:
Assist the Assistant Director of Bus Maintenance Training in the planning and supervision of the daily activities of the Maintenance Technical Trainers at the bus divisions and Main Shop support facility in the development and implementation of employee training programs. Initiates activities related to hiring, promotions, transfers, evaluations, training, other personnel and service records. Develops course content and method of presentation. Develops and maintains training manuals and materials. Coordinates the scheduling of classroom on-the-job training components of all bus maintenance training. Evaluates the effectiveness of training programs. Meets regularly with the maintenance managers and supervisors at the field locations to determine training and development needs. Develops and conducts periodic needs analysis to assess future training needs. Coordinates the development and implementation of employee training and qualification program.Job Requirements:
High school diploma or GED. Bachelor's degree in education, organizational development or related field from an accredited college or university. Directly related experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis. Minimum of two (2) years' experience in training and development or related field. No certifications or licenses required. Minimum of four (4) year's supervisory/management experience. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement employee technical training programs. Demonstrated ability in the use of Windows, Microsoft Word, and Excel. Effective and professional communication skills.Preferred Attributes:
