Job Description

Job Description Insight Global is seeking a qualified Learning and Development Manager in support of one of our higher education clients in Virginia Beach VA. This candidate will be supporting employee development, performance, and engagement initiatives to build skills, strengthen leadership, and drive productivity. This role ensures training and evaluation frameworks align with the client's strategy, culture, and business goals, while this client is working through a system integration. The day‑to‑day will include: Lead and execute the Learning & Development strategy aligned to business goals, culture, and organizational change initiatives. Design and manage enterprise-wide learning programs (onboarding, leadership, technical, compliance, and professional skills) using blended learning approaches and learning technologies, including the LMS. Assess organizational capability gaps, measure learning effectiveness and ROI, and report outcomes to leadership. Oversee performance evaluation frameworks, continuous feedback processes, and employee engagement initiatives that support career growth and high performance. Partner with HR on leadership development, succession planning, budget oversight, and compliance training to foster a culture of continuous learning and adaptability. Create the training documentation, facilitate to different departments, and monitor the completion.
Compensation:
$50.24/hr - $57.69/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law. Skills and Requirements Education:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Business Administration, or a related field
Experience:
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in Learning and Development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong leadership and team management abilities. Expertise in adult learning theory, instructional design, and talent development strategies. Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital learning platforms. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive results in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical skills to assess the impact of learning programs. Familiarity with change management principles and strategies. Experience in performance management and employee engagement. Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Business Administration, or a related field Six Sigma Certifications
