Job Description

Role Description You will be in charge of a group of children that can range in age from 6-12 years old; May serve as a rover, who cleans and assists other counselors when needed; Oversee the safety and behavior of club members, ensuring that they listen and follow the rules; Ensure disciplinary action is taken according to Boys and Girls Club guidelines when necessary; Communicate and coordinate with other counselors while following a set schedule; Help encourage club members to participate in programs and activates; Be a role model for club members to look up to for guidance and encouragement; Help organize and run programs and activities for club members to enjoy; Help to provide club members with a fun, safe, positive environment; Daily cleaning of spills, messes, program areas, and bathrooms as needed; Monday- Friday 2PM-6PM; Have fun
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
High school diploma or GED Experience in working with children Knowledge of youth development Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems Ability to deal with the general public Ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment Mandatory CPR and First Aid Certifications Valid State Driver's License
