Summary The Supervisor, APP Education and Professional Development is a hybrid clinical and administrative leadership role (50% clinical / 50% administrative) responsible for advancing the education, onboarding, and professional growth of Advanced Practice Providers across clinical service lines. This role coordinates comprehensive onboarding in collaboration with APP Supervisors, overseeing orientation schedules, competency assessments, and remediation plans to ensure safe, effective, and consistent APP practice. The Supervisor develops and implements standardized educational curricula, training milestones, and individualized development plans, while facilitating compliance with continuing education, FACT, and other regulatory requirements. Additionally, this position supports ongoing professional development by promoting APP engagement in research, standard operating procedure development, committees, and clinical ladder participation to align with institutional priorities. The role leads the implementation and utilization of learning management systems and shared educational resources and chairs the APP Education Committee to guide continuous development, advancement, and workforce preparedness.

In addition, this position serves as an APP practicing medicine within the scope of authority and privileges granted by Moffitt Cancer Center (MCC). This position provides patient care under the auspices of Moffitt Medical Group and serves as a member of the academic medical enterprise, advancing the institutional mission of contributing to the prevention and cure of cancer.

As a medical provider that is not a physician but is licensed to diagnose and treat patients under the supervision of a physician, the APP assists physicians in the evaluation, management and treatment of patients. This position works independently within a defined scope of practice and under the authority of supervising physician(s) or by specific protocol(s). Credentials and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree at minimum; master's degree preferred. Graduate of an accredited Advanced Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant program. Active FL medical license (or the ability to obtain one) and certification by the appropriate accreditation body. Active BLS and ACLS (must be AHA approved).

Minimum experience required:

Minimum 2 years' experience as an oncology APP provider (PA-C or APRN) required. Minimum 1 year experience in specialty required. Preferred Skills/Specialized Training Strong demonstrated communication skills, computer skills and critical thinking skills. Knowledgeable in APP clinical education and professional development.

Hematopathology Training Required:

Strong demonstrated communication skills, computer skills and critical thinking skills. Knowledgeable in APP clinical education and professional development. Preferred Licensure (Other): ACLS Salary Range $145,308.80 - $221,603.20 Salary ranges posted for this position represent the expected base pay range for the role.
