Join BrightStar Care as a Clinical Training Specialist and use your clinical expertise in a role that combines hands-on patient care, nurse training, mentorship, and field clinical support. We are looking for highly skilled, confident, and compassionate RNs to join our team as Clinical Training Specialists. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced home health nurse or acute-care RN who wants to take their clinical expertise to the next level while continuing to provide hands-on patient care. As a Clinical Training Specialist, you will play a critical role in developing our new nurses during their first 90 days of employment . You will serve as a clinical resource, mentor, educator, and field support partner — helping nurses build confidence, strengthen their clinical skills, and deliver safe, high-quality care to our patients. This is not a desk-only training position. You will continue to see patients in the field while also developing and supporting the next generation of nurses on our team. Schedule 3 days per week in the field providing patient care 2 days per week focused on training, mentoring, and clinical support Schedule may vary based on patient needs, training requirements, and business demands. Pay & Differential Base pay: $38-$45 per hour +$3/hour for eligible weekend and overnight shifts Eligible weekend and overnight shifts may pay $41-$48 per hour Paid weekly Responsibilities New Nurse Training & Mentorship Mentor and support newly hired RNs throughout their first 90 days. Provide ongoing clinical guidance, coaching, and feedback as nurses transition to independent field practice. Complete and oversee clinical skills competency training during in-office orientation. Evaluate clinical skills and identify additional education or hands-on training needs. Help new nurses develop clinical judgment, time management, documentation, communication, and patient-care skills. Serve as a trusted clinical resource for challenging patient situations. Help new nurses build confidence while maintaining high clinical and professional standards. Field Clinical Support Maintain your own patient caseload while providing skilled nursing care in patients' homes. Provide telephone support to field nurses who need assistance with clinical procedures, patient situations, or care coordination. Provide real-time clinical problem-solving while promoting safe, evidence-based practice. Provide hands-on training and clinical support in the field when needed. Travel throughout your assigned territory to support patients and clinicians. Provide additional clinical support during increased census or staffing needs. Clinical Skills & Competency IV infusion therapy Peripheral IV placement Central line/PICC management Central line dressing changes and maintenance Wound assessment and management Complex wound care Wound VAC/negative-pressure wound therapy Medication administration Patient assessment and clinical decision-making Recognition of changes in patient condition Skilled nursing procedures Patient and caregiver education Case Management Support Assist with case management and patient care coordination when requested by the DON and when training responsibilities allow. Provide additional clinical support during increased census or staffing needs. Collaborate with the DON and clinical leadership to improve patient care and nursing performance. Qualifications Active, unrestricted Arizona RN license Minimum 3 years of professional nursing experience At least 3 years of Home Health or Med/Surg, ICU, PCU, ER, or comparable acute-care experience Strong clinical nursing skills and sound clinical judgment Demonstrated competency in infusion therapy, central line management, wound care, and wound VAC therapy Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to confidently teach, coach, and mentor nurses Comfortable providing constructive feedback and holding clinicians accountable to clinical standards Strong clinical documentation skills Comfortable working independently in the field Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and other Microsoft Office applications Ability to learn and effectively use EMR and clinical software systems The Ideal Candidate You are more than an experienced RN — you are the nurse that other nurses call when they aren't sure what to do. You have strong clinical instincts and are comfortable managing complicated wound situations, central lines, infusions, and changes in patient condition. Most importantly, you know how to teach. You can explain complicated clinical concepts clearly, remain patient with new nurses, provide constructive feedback, maintain high standards, and genuinely enjoy helping other nurses gain confidence in their practice. You are also comfortable with technology, professional communication, patient care, education, documentation, and clinical support.
Territory Assignments:
