Job Summary The Sales Appointment Setter Trainer is responsible for onboarding, developing, and coaching appointment setters to achieve high levels of performance in lead conversion, appointment quality, productivity, and compliance. This role designs and delivers training that builds strong prospecting, objection-handling, call control, and appointment-setting skills while reinforcing accountability and consistent execution. The ideal candidate is a high-performing sales professional and coach who can translate proven sales behaviors into repeatable training programs that improve individual and team performance. Job Description Key Responsibilities Training & Onboarding Lead onboarding and new hire training for appointment setters Deliver engaging training sessions in classroom and one-on-one settings Develop and maintain training materials, scripts, playbooks, and job aids Teach core appointment setting skills, including: prospect engagement qualifying opportunities uncovering business need objection handling closing for the appointment CRM documentation and follow-up expectations Coaching & Performance Development Monitor calls and provide real-time and scheduled coaching Identify skill gaps and create targeted coaching plans Reinforce high-performance behaviors and best practices Partner with leaders to support underperforming team members and improve results Track progress and measure coaching effectiveness against business goals Quality & Process Improvement Evaluate appointment quality and ensure alignment with company standards Support consistency in scripting, messaging, and call execution Identify performance trends and recommend improvements to training and workflow Promote accurate CRM usage and documentation compliance Collaboration Partner with sales leaders, team leads, and top performers to identify winning behaviors Support rollout of new programs, campaigns, and process updates Serve as a subject matter expert in appointment setting and sales effectiveness Qualifications Required 3+ years of sales experience, preferably in appointment setting, inside sales, or high-volume outbound sales 1+ years of training, coaching, or team lead experience preferred Proven track record of strong individual sales performance Experience coaching, mentoring, or training others Strong understanding of call structure, objection handling, and appointment-setting strategies Experience using CRM systems and sales performance tools Excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skills Preferred Experience in high-volume outbound or inbound appointment-setting environments Experience in financial services, insurance, healthcare, home services, or other consultative sales environments Background in adult learning, sales enablement, or performance coaching Ability to design and deliver structured training programs Experience supporting both new hire onboarding and ongoing performance coaching
