Youth Development Professional Job Description TITLE:
Youth Development Professional (YDP)DEPARTMENT

Non-Exempt Salary:
$20 per hour Must be 18 years or olderPRIMARY FUNCTION
The Youth Development Professional's responsibility is to supervise and oversee teen club members in an academic setting. The YDP will assist, guide, and support club members with their academics, workforce readiness and character development Applicant must be available to work afternoons Monday through Friday. This position will assist with overseeing the daily operations of our newly renovated Teen Center or our Junior High Club. However there will be other times when you will work in other areas of the club.KEY ROLES
(Essential Job Responsibilities): Prepare Youth for Success Plan, implement, supervise, and evaluate activities in the core areas of Education, Arts & Crafts, and Recreation Supervise activities of members, while reinforcing positive attitudes and social skills Assist members in school's academic programs Provide guidance and role modeling Ensure quality improvement and promote stimulating participation Provide support to Director of Youth Services, other site staff, and volunteers Assisting youth with homework using tools like Google Drive, Canva, and Microsoft suite Facilitating coding to build problem-solving and computer programming skills Teaching essential computer basics such as typing, internet safety, and software navigation. Health & Safety Ensure a healthy and safe environment for all members at all times Maintain a clean and disinfected workplace Administrative Provide administrative support Maintain the classroom calendarsRELATIONSHIPS

Maintain contact with the leadership team to exchange information, seek and give assistance, consultation and direction.External:
Maintains contact with the community/parents. Establish and maintain positive relationships with members' parents/guardians.SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
