Business Development Lead (Conglomerate Portfolio)
Job Purpose:
A dynamic, "player-coach" role responsible for driving growth and managing the full lifecycle of government contract acquisition across our interconnected companies. This position requires a versatile leader who can manage both facilities/custodial proposals and IT services federal contracting. while executing daily bidding operations and fostering strategic partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Pipeline & Partnerships:
Oversee the business development process from opportunity identification to award. Explore and negotiate strategic collaborations, teaming arrangements, and mentor-protégé initiatives (especially for Bona Fide).
Multi-Industry Proposal Leadership:
Coordinate kickoff meetings, develop proposal outlines, and lead "red team" reviews. You will manage diverse bids, ranging from federal building maintenance and custodial services (GSA, CBP) to IT service capabilities (e.g., NASA SEWP).
Marketing & Capability Development:
Create compelling capability statements and marketing materials to highlight the company's offerings and staff skills, particularly for expanding Bona Fide's IT service footprint.
Market Research & Sourcing:
Monitor portals (SAM.gov, Deltek) for new bidding opportunities across all target sectors. Register for site visits, and coordinate with vendors/subcontractors to gather bid pricing and subject matter expertise.
Hands-On Execution & Compliance:
Draft, edit, and complete critical bid documents including SF1449 forms, amendments, Representations & Certifications, and Past Performance Questionnaires. Ensure strict legal and regulatory compliance (FAR, SourceAmerica/AbilityOne programs).
Post-Award & Performance Support:
Assist operations teams with post-award phase-in details, and help manage performance tracking metrics (such as CPARS reviews).
Qualifications:
Experience:
3-5+ years of blended experience in government contracting, capture management, and hands-on proposal writing. Must have experience bidding on both facilities/custodial services AND IT services/solutions .
Federal Expertise:
Strong working knowledge of federal agencies (e.g., GSA, CBP, NASA) and procurement vehicles (e.g., SEWP, SourceAmerica/AbilityOne). Familiarity with federal union agreements and prevailing wage requirements is a major plus.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, IT Management, or a related field.
Skills:
Strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Exceptional English comprehension, writing, and communication skills for drafting highly technical and operational proposals. Must be a self-starter capable of managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines. Fluency in two or more languages is preferred.
Pay:
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
