Job Description
United Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Barbara County is seeking part time Youth Development Specialists for our LEO sites after-school program in Lompoc provided through the United Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Barbara County. 5 positions open at our Hapgood School site 2 positions open at our Fillmore School site Schedule consists of 5
- 6 hours during program times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, implement, supervise, and evaluate activities in the core areas of Education, Arts & Crafts, and Recreation
- Facilitate Daily Lessons & Program Planning Sheets
- Provide support to Site Supervisor and other site staff
- Assist in recruiting new members-Maintain a positive attitude-Provide guidance and role modeling
- Implement & Maintain guidelines for daily structured classroom management-Motivate youth and manage behavior problems
- Attend Mandatory weekly & monthly meetings
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- At least 18 years old-High School Diploma or GED
- Pass the Instructional Assistant Proficiency Exam provided by Lompoc Unified School District or 48 college credits
- Negative TB test
- Clean criminal history
- Cleared Drug Screen
- Experience working with children
- Bilingual is a plus
