Job Description

Overview The Youth Development Professional plays a vital role in fostering the growth and development of children and adolescents in a supportive and engaging environment. This position involves working closely with youth to promote their social, emotional, and academic development through various activities and programs. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for working with children, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage diverse classroom settings effectively. Responsibilities Facilitate engaging educational and recreational activities that promote youth development. Implement behavior management strategies to create a positive learning environment. Provide support in areas such as homework assistance, tutoring, and skill-building activities. Foster relationships with students to encourage their personal growth and self-esteem. Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants by adhering to first aid protocols when necessary. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and community members to enhance the educational experience. Maintain accurate records of student progress and participation in programs. Assist in planning and organizing special events, camps, or extracurricular activities. Experience Experience working with children in various settings such as daycare, tutoring, or childcare is essential. Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies. Background in early childhood education or special education is highly desirable. Skills in sports coaching, theater, or other extracurricular activities are a plus. Previous experience in Christian counseling or youth mentorship is beneficial. Strong understanding of childhood development principles and practices. This role requires a dedicated individual who is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of young people.
