Position Summary:

AOG is seeking an experienced Instructor/Mobile Training Team (MTT) Specialist to join our team in San Diego. This critical role delivers train-the-trainer and Mobile Training Team (MTT) training to support the N77 Training Development department. Specifically supporting the N779 Training Execution branch and the N779A Mobile Team Training (MTT). This role directly delivers high-impact, standardized TESS capability training directly to fleet units, shore commands, and forward deployed forces worldwide, which plays an indispensable part in maintaining the self-sufficiency and operational readiness of the fleet. The Instructor/ MTT Specialist serves as the official instructor(s) for any TESS related courses, Train-the-Trainer and Pilot events; as well as provides the MTT training.

Key performance areas include:

Instructional Delivery:

Deliver authorized, standardized curricula to diverse naval and marine audiences (officer and enlisted) in classroom settings, laboratory environments, and aboard operational afloat platforms. Maintain classroom management and foster a professional, conducive learning environment. Mobile Training Team (MTT)

Mission Execution:

Lead or participate in the planning, logistics coordination, and execution of MTT deployments globally. This includes shipping, inventory control, and setup of portable training suites, laptops, and instructional aids at receiving host commands.

Transport Paths & Logistics Coordination:

Establish, monitor, and maintain physical and network transport paths required to deliver, update, and manage training solutions across diverse training sites, mitigating any disruptions to operational training readiness.

Training Effectiveness Integration:

Implement Training Effectiveness methodologies to assess student performance, analyze learning metrics, and evaluate training efficacy. Utilize these insights to provide feedback and recommend courseware enhancements to N7 leadership.

Curriculum Maintenance & Quality Assurance:

Collaborate with the training development team to review, update, and maintain lesson plans, student guides, testing materials, and job aids in accordance with NETC guidelines and technical system updates. Ensure all training materials are current and technically accurate.

Student Assessment and Records Management:

Administer and grade written and practical examinations. Ensure student completion data, course surveys, and training metrics are accurately recorded in the prescribed databases.

Technical & Tactical Subject Matter Expertise:

Maintain high-level proficiency in specialized naval systems (such as information warfare, tactical communications, electronic warfare, cyber systems, or network and operations databases) to deliver realistic, high-fidelity instructional training.

Operational Liaison:

Coordinate directly with host command leadership, Point of Contacts (POCs), and system administrators prior to and during MTT and other training events to ensure optimal facilities, connectivity, and student throughput.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years in the role in uniform Associate or bachelor's degree in education, Human Resources, or a technical field relevant to information warfare. Holds Navy Instructor 9502 NEC (or equivalent DoD/military instructional credential). Minimum of 3 years of instructional delivery within a military training environment. Technical expertise in End-to-End capabilities across the PAE Mission Systems Portfolio of systems. Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% annually, including international travel and embarkation on naval vessels.

Desired qualifications:

Six years of military or defense instruction, with at least 3 years leading instructional teams, managing curriculum projects, or directing mobile training deployments. Active Master Training Specialist (MTS) designation. Experience with Navy-specific instructional management tools (e.g., CeTARS, CANTRAC, CPM/LOM). Prior operational experience in an N7 Training department or mobile training team structure. Experience executing TESS-aligned training metrics and assessments. CompTIA Security+ or similar DoD 8570 baseline certification to support cybersecurity training. Extensive experience in implementing Navy (or DoD equivalent/military) training strategies and educational metrics evaluation. Demonstrated capability to interface professionally with senior military officers (O-5/O-6 level) and government civilians. Proven track record of managing training program logistics and equipment lifecycles. DoDI 8570.01-M IASAE or IAT Level II/III cybersecurity certification (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CASP+).

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Work Model:

In person at various government facilities and remote as required. You will collaborate directly with colleagues, contractors, and government stakeholders in person.

Telework:

Limited situational telework and flexible hours may be available during the workweek, strictly as approved by the Contract Program Manager.

Travel:

To support the MTT - International Travel and Embarkation on ships or other CONUS training locations may be required.
