Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Firearms Instructor and empower individuals with essential firearm safety, handling skills, and responsible usage. In this role, you will deliver engaging, comprehensive training sessions to diverse audiences, ensuring they develop confidence and competence in firearm operation. Your expertise will foster a safe and educational environment where students can learn effectively and responsibly. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact by promoting safety, discipline, and skill development in firearm handling. Responsibilities Conduct structured firearms training classes for individuals and groups, tailoring instruction to different skill levels and learning styles Develop and update instructional materials to enhance learning experiences and ensure compliance with safety standards Demonstrate proper firearm handling techniques, safety procedures, and maintenance practices during training sessions Assess student progress through practical evaluations, providing constructive feedback to support improvement Maintain a safe training environment by enforcing strict safety protocols and managing classroom behavior effectively Coordinate with program coordinators to schedule classes, prepare training spaces, and ensure all equipment is functional and ready for use Stay current on firearm laws, safety regulations, and best practices through ongoing professional development Requirements Proven experience in firearms instruction or related training roles with a strong understanding of firearm safety principles Excellent classroom management skills to engage learners of all ages and backgrounds Ability to develop clear instructional materials tailored to diverse audiences Experience working with children, youth programs, or adult learners in educational settings Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical information in an understandable manner Knowledge of online instruction methods is a plus for virtual training components Prior coaching or teaching experience in adult education or child development is highly valued Demonstrated ability to work safely, responsibly, and professionally at all times Join us in shaping responsible firearm users through energetic, transparent, and engaging instruction.
