Responsible for training new Team Members (TMs) and retraining existing TMs. Also perform shipping and receiving duties as needed. Responsibilities Arrive to workstation on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work all scheduled shifts. Comply with all applicable state health and safety codes Maintain clean and sanitary operating environment Abide by all safety regulations set forth by OSHA and WFM Train new Team Members and agency support - Predominantly Order Selectors Setup and train new hires on voice selection system and equipment Train new hires on use of powered ride-on pallet jacks Track performance and provide feedback with leadership through WFM's training and onboarding program Perform other shipping and receiving functions as assigned by the Team Leader or Associate Team Leader including selection, loading, receiving, putaways and letdowns Identify any pallets that need to be restacked then lower and restack them. Responsible for pre-shift warm up, pre-shift equipment checks, and trainer documentation. Clean warehouse as needed. Excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team Ability to complete all tasks in a thorough, accurate and timely manner Attention to detail and thoroughness in approach with all paperwork Demonstrated responsibility and accountability in recognizing and accomplishing all tasks Experience with voice systems a plus Team-player with positive attitude Able to work well with others, self-motivated, and capable of working independently with little supervision Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines Working understanding of and compliance with all WFM quality goals, and thorough product knowledge Report all life safety and fire hazards, along with any other violations of company policy, to Team Leader for correction and report all accidents/injuries to Team Leader or Facility Leadership immediately. Operate dock plates, dock locks and warehouse loading bay doors. Use computerized warehouse management system via Wi-Fi handheld units, tablets and/or PCs Safely operate and or maintain powered material handling equipment including: pallet jack, forklift, dock plates and safety equipment in accordance with OSHA and Whole Foods regulations to move product Ability to deliver information in a clear and concise manner to fellow team members Ability to comply with all WFM policies and procedures Working understanding of and compliance with all WFM quality goals, and thorough product knowledge Demonstrates responsibility and accountability in recognizing and accomplishing all tasks where there is a direct job responsibility High attention to detail and thoroughness in approach with all paperwork Proper use of which may include but not limited to, safety knives, personal protective equipment, forklift, pallet jacks, hand trucks and all other equipment used within the Distribution Center. Able to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the store, including nights, weekends and holidays as required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Ability to perform physical requirements of position Outstanding communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team Ability to operate all necessary equipment Strict compliance with all WFM policies and procedures Outstanding customer service skills Ability to complete all tasks in a thorough, accurate and timely manner Knowledge of all relevant Whole Foods Market policies, procedures, core values, business philosophy, and quality goals Attention to detail and thoroughness in approach with all paperwork Proper use of knives, personal protective equipment, forklift, pallet jacks, hand trucks, six wheel carts, baler and all other equipment used during preparation and clean up within department and ity Ability to work well with others, self-motivated and capable of working independently with little supervision. Able to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the Distribution Center, including nights, weekends and holidays as required Desired Work Experiences Minimum of 2 years warehouse experience Must be at least 18 years of age Experience working with an electric/motorized ride on standing pallet jack (either single or double) and forklifts Experience with voice systems a plus
