Job Description

Job Title:
Employment and Training Specialist Location:
Wilmington, DE Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (May require occasional after-hours/weekend work) We are seeking a dedicated Employment and Training Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for curriculum development, program facilitation, and job coaching. You will play a vital part in guiding our youth through career exploration, employability skills training, and workforce preparation, ensuring they are ready to take the next step in their lives.

Key Responsibilities Curriculum Development & Facilitation:

Design and facilitate engaging workshops on employability skills, including workplace etiquette, interview preparation, conflict resolution, and social-emotional learning.

Job Coaching & Placement:

Provide one-on-one coaching and resume assistance. Build and maintain relationships with local employers to secure job placements and externships for our youth.

Youth Engagement:

Administer career exploration assessments (e.g., O

•NET) to guide participants in choosing viable career paths.

Partnership Building:

Network with businesses, nonprofits, and educational institutions to identify resources and create new training opportunities.

Data Management:

Track participant progress and program effectiveness using systems like Delaware Job Link and Apricot.

Qualifications Education:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University.

Experience:

A minimum of two years of experience working with youth in a social service or educational setting.

Competencies:

A self-starter with excellent communication skills, strong project management abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. You must be culturally sensitive, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Please Note the Schedule for this role is 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. - Monday through

Friday Pay:

$57,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
