Role:
Improve overall employee effectiveness/performance through the application of individual and group training techniques and programs, consistent with the Credit Union's organizational priorities.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Schedule/Deliver/Create a wide range of training and development programs that meets the credit union's needs including department and position specific jobs as necessary including Creating Member Loyalty classes. Assist Training Manager to create and administer Training calendar and content delivery methods as well as having a shared role as administrator in the credit union's LMS. Design/Edit training documents and related materials including TTVs. Track the progress of trainees through pre and post testing, observations, and feedback from supervisors; evaluate the effectiveness of current training. Stay informed about trends in training and development practices in the culture. Partner with subject matter experts with system and process testing and work with Training Manager in developing and implementing training as needed when schedule allows. Work closely with Training Manager to support ongoing development of team members. Escalate any training concerns promptly to the Training Manager, Human Resources or a team member's direct manager as warranted. Assists Training Manager in the assessment and evaluation of new hires, communicating to hiring managers their learner's progress. Assist Training Manager in identifying performance gaps and implement learning solutions. Adapt and update content based on evolving business needs. Evaluate training effectiveness using feedback, metrics, and performance outcomes. Manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Maintain training documentation and resources in centralized systems. Recommend and implement learning solutions that address root causes, not just symptoms. Create tools and resources that support learning beyond the classroom. Partner with subject matter experts to translate complex content into clear, usable training. Serve as a training department representative on committees and project teams and assist Training Manager in developing and implementing training when schedule allows
Performance Measurements:
Adhere to the Credit Union Service Standards in all interactions both internal and external as well as employing CML (Creating Member Loyalty) skills. Maintain a complete understanding of Credit Union products, services, policies and procedures, as well as an understanding of the Credit Union's mission. Meet all training objectives and goals established for the year. Complete reports and records accurately and in a timely manner. Relate any problems in training effectiveness to the supervisor, making recommendations to resolve them. Maintain a professional image and demeanor at all times.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience Five years to eight years of similar or related experience. Education (1) A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g., information technology certifications in lieu of a degree). Interpersonal Skills Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others. Other Skills 1. Must possess excellent communication skills including presentation skills, understanding learning styles, and presentation skills. 2. Must be able to operate related computer software and business equipment including 10-key, phone, slide, film, overhead projector, and other related training aids. Physical Requirements This is sedentary work which requires the following physical activities: bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, sitting, walking, finger dexterity, feeling, repetitive motions, talking, hearing and visual acuity. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. As required or requested, may exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
