Overview Job Summary This position is Technical Instructor focusing on Transplant Business Unit products as part of Learning & Development organization(L&D). This role is responsible for the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of global product training for employees, customers, and distributors. The Technical Instructor will partner closely with Global Commercial Service, Support, Sales Management, Marketing, and Operations teams to understand business objectives and define training needs. This position requires maintaining technical competence and serving as a subject matter expert in the development of global training materials. This role will provide innovative solutions in the creation of training programs in alignment with regulatory guidelines. In addition, this role will maintain all training records and course materials following L&D processes and utilizing the Learning Management System (LMS). It is important to provide innovative solutions in the creation of training programs and training tools. All training must be developed in accordance with Werfen and regulatory guidelines to ensure compliance. Responsibilities Key Accountabilities Demonstrate technical proficiency for all Werfen Transplant products and instruments including operation of instrumentation, hardware, software and assay/reagent systems; Provide technical training on assay/instrument operation, software, installation protocols, IFU documents, basic troubleshooting and assay performance. Assist with the evaluation of skills and review performance of trainees as it relates to their job responsibilities, including field travel if deemed necessary. Develop classroom and continuing education programs utilizing performance based training model. Manage training projects and priorities according to associated deadlines. Demonstrate and practice the use of reference materials such as procedures, operation manuals, user guides, IFU documents and specifications and include these references in all training materials. Utilize appropriate laboratory exercises, skills assessments/quizzes, checklists and evaluations for each class. Maintain records and metrics in accordance with procedures, good documenta-tion standards and Werfen quality system guidelines. Schedule classes based on classroom and equipment availability. Provide innovative solutions in the creation of training programs using multiple modalities such as visual aids, eLearning tools, videos, and slides. Include these in class outlines, handouts, and materials. Maintain training classrooms, laboratories, instruments and supplies to ensure rooms are adequately stocked and clean to ensure a professional learning environment; Follow OSHA and regulatory guidelines. Measure effectiveness of training and identify gaps through surveys, needs assessments, performance analysis and 6 month post-training evaluation protocols. Establish and main-tain departmental technical training metrics and report to management. Collaborate with Global Marketing and Global Service departments to develop and implement training projects associated with product launches. Manage all training project timelines and milestones effectively and ensure timely communication of project status with all stakeholders. Conduct periodic needs assessments, Gap Analysis and develop knowledge assessments to determine gaps for the continuous improvement of training programs and development of new training programs.
