The retail trainer evaluates the trainee for effectiveness of training and individual employee growth. The training specialist will aid the retail department in updating current procedures and ensuring access to retail guides.

This is a Full-Time Exempt position and reports to the Training Manager.

Essential Duties:
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Assists the Training department with developing, implementing, and delivering training programs for varying levels of individuals within the retail department. Document and update procedures for the retail department. Continually evaluate training progress and training procedures to monitor and analyze course effectiveness and update curriculum as needed alongside the Training Department. Evaluates new hire's skills during training and communicates the evaluation with relevant Branch Manager once training has been completed. Experience in processing account transactions and new accounts. Good oral and written communication skills in handling both employee and customer relations. Train new hires how to make effective referrals to other Departments when appropriate. Thorough knowledge of bank products and services. Ensure that Bank policies and procedures are adhered to. Advise Branch Manager of any department or branch office issues. Assist with the Saturday teller rotation. Assist branches with opening new accounts and/or customer transactions when not training a new hire. Continued support of new hire beyond scheduled time.

Education/Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED required. Minimum of two years of experience in the field or related experience preferred.
Communication skills:
proficient in reading, writing, and mathematics. English preferred as primary language. Excellent customer service experience. Proficient interpersonal relations and sales skills. Ability to use office machinery and equipment.
