Job Description
Lead, develop, coordinate, and deliver law enforcement training programs. Maintain compliance with certification standards. Serve as the lead instructor in defensive tactics, firearms, and active shooter response. Maintain training records. Assist in policy development specific to the training programs. Coordinate with external providers. Conduct scenario-based training and evaluations. Obtain certifications of the departments choosing in the areas of defensive tactics, firearms and active shooter response within one (1) year. Five (5) years prior law enforcement experience or equivalent experience in a tactics training environment. Relevant education may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Three (3) years as a police trainer or similar tactics training environment. Relevant education may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
