Job Summary The Sales Instructor will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing training programs aimed at enhancing the effectiveness and productivity of the sales team. This role focuses on equipping sales representatives with the necessary skills, knowledge, and strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets. Job Responsibilities Training Program Development Design and deliver comprehensive sales training programs, including onboarding for new hires and ongoing development for existing sales teams that engage at both the local market level and headquarters call points. Create engaging training materials such as presentations, manuals, and collaborate with instructional designers on designing e-learning modules tailored to the organization's requirements. Facilitation and Coaching Conduct in-person and virtual training sessions utilizing various instructional techniques to engage and educate participants. Provide one-on-one coaching to sales representatives, offering constructive feedback and strategies for improvement. Performance Assessment Develop assessments to measure the effectiveness of training programs and identify areas for improvement. Monitor and evaluate the progress of trainees through observation, testing, and feedback. Reporting and Documentation Track and report on training outcomes, including participant satisfaction, knowledge retention, and impact on sales performance. Maintain accurate records of training activities and employee progress. Continuous Improvement Stay current on industry trends, sales techniques, and best practices to continuously improve training content and delivery methods. Collaborate with sales leadership, marketing, and product teams to ensure training content aligns with company goals and product updates. Collaborate with Bottling partners and the Coca-Cola System to share insights and best practices in sales. Job Requirements This position will conduct sales training across the western region of our territory and may be located in Columbia, MO; Sedalia, MO; St. Joseph, MO; Topeka, KS; Emporia, KS; Lenexa, KS; Wichita, KS; Garden City, KS; or Concordia, KS. Associate's degree in business administration, education, or a related field. Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a sales position or advisor, with a proven track record of success; beverage, retail or grocery preferred. Minimum of 2 years of presentation and facilitation/training skills, with the ability to engage and motivate audiences of varying backgrounds and experience levels. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner. Experience developing training materials and curriculum design. Willingness to travel frequently and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed to accommodate training schedules and travel requirements. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications for creating and delivering training materials. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
