Production Trainer

Location:
Ayer, MA Pay:

Up to $40.00/hour based on experience

Shift:

3rd Shift, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM occasional split-shift coverage for 2nd shift new hires

Are you an experienced manufacturing professional with a passion for coaching and developing others? Join a leading production team as a Production Trainer and play a key role in onboarding, training, and mentoring employees in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Job Duties Train employees on production equipment operation, setup, changeovers, cleaning procedures, and basic troubleshooting

Provide hands-on instruction for packaging, labeling, inspection, palletizing, and production line equipment

Evaluate employee competency and certify operators for independent work

Support onboarding, cross-training initiatives, and workforce development programs

Coach employees on safety procedures, PPE requirements, GMPs, HACCP principles, and OSHA standards

Observe production processes and provide real-time feedback to improve safety, quality, and efficiency

Assist with training documentation, work instructions, and continuous improvement activities

Partner with production, maintenance, quality, and safety teams to support operational excellence Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; additional education preferred

3-5 years of manufacturing experience, including operation of multiple production or packaging lines

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

Previous leadership, training, coaching, or mentoring experience

Knowledge of OSHA regulations, GMPs, HACCP, and food safety practices

Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 lbs.
