This is a part-time, grant funded, non-unit position without benefits not to exceed 18.5 hours per week.SALARY:
$33.96/hrJOB SUMMARY
Business Solutions and Partnerships is seeking an individual to perform core services to implement workforce training programs in the trades sector, consisting of HVAC Heat Pump training, Welding training, and Crane Operator training. This individual will be responsible for student recruitment, student wrap-around services, student supplies for training, student document tracking, student registration, direct training management and managing student completion leading to job placement. The ideal candidate will have some experience in training management and student services.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Design a plan and implement outreach and recruitment efforts into the training programs Develop recruitment materials with the college's Marketing and Communications department Coordinate assessments and acceptance processes into the training program; determine English as Second Language needs (ESOL needs) and plan accordingly for support Provide pre-training student services and student support in partnership with internal college departments Manage all aspects of classroom and lab space scheduling with college departments Plan and procure personal equipment, in partnership with Facilities/Business Services department, to ensure students are prepared for trainings Responsible for training development details; such as class build out in software system (Coursestorm), class management in software system (Salesforce), roster management (Banner) and class close-out(Banner) In collaboration with the instructor, ensure training materials and equipment are prepared for training sessions Manages all required paperwork around student engagement, pre and post training Manage the Job Readiness program, in partnership with Career Services, to align with training schedules Serve as a liaison to industry partners during training and post training; ensure partnerships are in place with a strong communications and follow-up plans Responsible for student job placement upon completion of training, with industry partners and supporting organizations Create tracking records for post job placement and retention rates, per grant guidelines Provide administrative support with grant reporting and fiscal reporting to ensure deliverables are met within the timeline Provide support to budget tracking and spenddown; collaborate with Post Grants to ensure compliance within award Provide general administrative support including scheduling internal and external meetings, managing calendars, and handling internal and external correspondence Maintain and organize hard and electronic files related to the workforce training programs assigned Act as a liaison between internal college departments such as fiscal, post grants accounts, students accounts, and registrar's office to ensure best practices are followed Collaborate with Administrative Assistants in Business Solutions and Partnerships to ensure standard operating procedures are followed Ensure completed students have access to all of Bristol's post training support services such as Career Service, Alumni, Library Learning Commons, and the Mobile MarketRequirements:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of three (3) years support in an administrative capacity, experience in an academic environment, or related student support servicesPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in a workforce development organization/department Experience in a community college's student services area or related department Experience with grant management and reporting Knowledge of the building trades sectors in Bristol CountyAdditional Information:
