POSITION DESCRIPTION
The CBDS Specialist Relief is responsible for working with 1-9 individuals in a community-based day program. This position is a direct service role in which the CBDS Specialist assists individuals with developmental disabilities to access a variety of volunteer and recreational opportunities within their surrounding community. They will also provide a variety of skills training as prescribed in each member?s CBDS plan and ISP. This includes but not limited to career planning, social skill development, resume development, specific skill development, soft skill development, interviewing skills, benefits education, and coordination. Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Min of 18 years of age. High School Diploma/GED or one year experience in a related field, must possess basic math (addition/subtraction) skills, ability to read & write, communicate effectively both verbally and written, ability to multi-task and exercise good judgement. Valid US driver?s license and ready access to a vehicle. Ability to complete all initial and ongoing background checks including but not limited to: CORI, SORI, Fingerprinting, LEIE, Driving record, E-verify, Physical, PPD and licensing and/or certification checks (i.e., nursing)
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
Must maintain all certification needed in the program including CPR, First Aid, Safe Techniques to Avoid Restraint and Training (START), Medication Administration (MAP) and BFAIR Human Rights Training.
