Job Summary:
The Training Specialist is responsible for developing and delivering technical training strategies and material to customers (biomedical engineer/technicians) and company service technicians, who support and maintain medical water treatment systems. The Training Specialist may provide technical support to customers and technicians. This role requires excellent communication abilities and strong mechanical skills and an understanding of training processes within the healthcare and the water industries.Responsibilities:
- Developing clinical and technical training materials and presentations
- Conducting hands-on and classroom technical training sessions for students
- Collaborating with sales leaders to identify technical training needs and develop strategies to improve performance
- Staying up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in training and techniques
- Monitoring and tracking training effectiveness and making adjustments as needed
- Providing support and guidance to trainees on service techniques and product knowledge
- Coordinating with other departments to ensure consistency in training and messaging
Training and Development:
- Designing and delivering technical training programs on service techniques, product knowledge, and company policies and procedures
- Creating and updating technical and clinical training materials, including presentations, manuals, and online resources
- Conducting needs assessments to identify gaps in knowledge and skills and develop training to address them
- Collaborating with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and relevance of training materials
- Utilizing various training methods, such as classroom instruction, role-playing, hands-on, and online learning, to engage and educate students

Training professionals must be able to influence and inspire others, both within and outside the organization. This requires strong communication skills, credibility, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.Qualifications:
- A Highschool Diploma (or equivalent) and/or an associate or bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering, or other healthcare related or equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts of water treatment or renal healthcare
- Proficiency in Microsoft (MS) Word, Excel, Power Point and associated MS 365 Apps
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in learning content development programs (i.e. Articulate or similar) and Learning Management Systems - LMS (i.e. Workday) Planning, Scheduling, Budgeting & Resource allocation. Effectively manage improvement projects throughout the project's life cycle, ensuring strategic alignment and deliverable focus. Hands-on equipment troubleshooting/repair experienceAdditional Plus Qualifications:
- Certified Hemodialysis Technologist/Technician (CHT), Certified Hemodialysis Water Specialist (CHWS) or Certification in Biomedical Equipment Technology (CBET)
- Adult Learning methods and experience.
