Job Description

Do you enjoy helping people learn, grow, and feel confident in their roles? TLC Community Credit Union is looking for a Training and Development Specialist who can bring energy, organization, and a learner-focused approach to employee development. In this role, you'll help employees build the knowledge and skills they need to succeed—from welcoming new employees through onboarding to facilitating ongoing operational, compliance, and professional development training. You'll work with employees and leaders across the organization to identify learning needs, develop practical training resources, and continuously improve how we support employee development. What You'll Do Facilitate Learning & Employee Development Deliver structured and engaging onboarding programs that introduce new employees to our culture, systems, expectations, and ways of working. Develop, coordinate, and facilitate training programs for employees across a variety of roles and departments. Deliver training through in-person, virtual, and blended learning formats. Create clear and engaging training materials, including presentations, guides, videos, job aids, and other learning resources. Adapt your facilitation and communication style to meet the needs of different audiences, experience levels, and learning styles. Coordinate training logistics, including scheduling, learner communication, training spaces, materials, and technology. Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment where employees feel comfortable asking questions, practicing new skills, and developing professionally. Support Operational & Compliance Training Partner with subject matter experts to ensure training is accurate, current, and aligned with business needs. Support training for system implementations, new products and services, process changes, and organizational initiatives. Assist with the development and maintenance of procedures that promote operational consistency and compliance. Support the development and delivery of regulatory and compliance training. Maintain current knowledge of credit union products, services, systems, policies, procedures, and applicable compliance requirements. Evaluate & Improve Learning Help identify training and development needs across the organization. Review learner feedback, training results, operational information, and available performance data to identify opportunities for improvement. Recommend learning solutions to address skill gaps and support employee performance. Continuously evaluate and improve training content and delivery methods. Stay current on adult learning practices, learning technologies, and training trends. Manage Training Programs & Learning Content Manage assigned training programs and learning content within the Learning Management System (LMS). Maintain assigned courses, learning materials, and program information to ensure content remains accurate and current. Coordinate course assignments and monitor completion for assigned training programs. Review completion data and training results to identify follow-up needs and opportunities for improvement. Support employees with questions related to assigned training programs and learning content. What We're Looking For Experience working in a credit union, bank, or other financial institution . Strong written and verbal communication skills. Confidence facilitating training and presenting information to groups. Ability to communicate complex or detailed information in a clear and approachable way. Strong organizational and time-management skills with careful attention to detail. Ability to build positive working relationships with employees, leaders, and subject matter experts. Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, audiences, and business needs. Comfortable learning new systems, processes, and technologies. Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a team. Preferred Experience One or more years of experience in training, employee development, facilitation, or a related role. Experience using or supporting a Learning Management System (LMS). Experience facilitating virtual training through Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Webex, or similar platforms. Experience creating training materials using Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Canva, Articulate, or similar tools. Familiarity with adult learning principles and employee development practices. Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Why This Role?
