Job Description

Business Development Location:
Detroit, MI or Lansing, MI Regular in office work required
Employment Type:
Full-Time Drive Growth and Innovation As a Business Development Lead , you will play a key role in driving company growth by developing client relationships, identifying new opportunities, leading pursuits, and strengthening the company's presence within the transportation and infrastructure industry. You will work closely with leadership and technical teams to develop pursuit strategies, build partnerships, and expand business with existing and new clients. What You'll Do Lead business development efforts for state transportation agencies, local municipalities, and other public and private clients. Identify, evaluate, and pursue new project and service opportunities aligned with company goals. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, teaming partners, consultants, and industry stakeholders. Develop pursuit strategies, including client positioning, teaming approaches, and differentiators. Lead and coordinate proposals and qualification-based pursuits with company leadership and technical staff. Manage the business development pipeline, including upcoming opportunities, active pursuits, submissions, and results. Represent the company at client meetings, industry conferences, networking events, and other business development activities.
What You Bring Education:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
Experience:
8+ years of business development, sales, client relations, or pursuit experience.
Certifications:
Professional Engineer (PE) license required. Professional certifications relevant to business development, project management, or the AEC industry are preferred. Strong client relationship development, networking, and communication skills. Strong understanding of business development, sales strategy, and pursuit planning. Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities, relationships, and deadlines. Travel:
Travel is expected for client meetings, industry events, conferences, and other business development activities. Some out-of-area and overnight travel may be required.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance:
Must be able to obtain authorization to work in the United States. Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, licensure, and level of responsibility.
Pay:
$75,000.00 - $198,000.00 per year
