This role partners closely with Sales Leadership, Marketing, Category Management, and Revenue Management to ensure sales teams are equipped with the skills, tools, and knowledge needed to win in the market. This is a hands-on role for someone who can create content, facilitate training, coach sales professionals, and continuously evolve programs based on feedback and performance data.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Training & Development Design and deliver end-to-end sales training programs including onboarding, core selling skills, product/category knowledge, consultative selling, and advanced sales capabilities Develop and facilitate live training (in-person and virtual), workshops, ride-alongs, and reinforcement sessions Translate sales strategy, value propositions, and category priorities into practical, field-ready training Support new hire onboarding and time-to-productivity initiatives Content & Curriculum Creation Create engaging training materials including presentations, playbooks, job aids, videos, and micro-learning modules Partner with Marketing and Category teams to ensure training content is current, customer-focused, and aligned to brand standards Continuously refresh content based on market changes, product launches, and sales feedback Coaching & Field Enablement Provide ongoing coaching to sales reps and managers to reinforce skills and drive adoption Support frontline leaders with tools and frameworks to coach their teams effectively Observe sales behaviors in the field or virtually and provide actionable feedback Measurement & Continuous Improvement Track training effectiveness using performance metrics, adoption data, and participant feedback Identify capability gaps and recommend targeted training or reinforcement strategies Continuously improve programs to align with evolving business needs Cross-Functional Partnership Collaborate with Sales Leadership, Revenue Management, Marketing, HR/L&D, and Operations Align training initiatives with company strategy, sales priorities, and customer expectations Support major initiatives such as new product launches, new market entry, or sales process changes
Qualifications & Experience Required:
3+ years of experience in sales, sales training, sales enablement, or learning & development Proven experience designing and delivering sales training programs Strong facilitation skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences Deep understanding of sales processes, consultative selling, and customer-focused selling Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Preferred:
Experience supporting field sales teams in distribution, CPG, or foodservice Familiarity with learning platforms, CRM tools, and sales enablement technology Experience coaching sales leaders and frontline managersExperience in a sales position Leadership & Behavioral Competencies Customer-focused mindset with a passion for improving the sales experience Collaborative partner who works effectively across functions Agile and adaptable; comfortable building while doing Data-informed and results-oriented High energy, credibility, and presence in front of sales teams About Lipari Foods Headquartered in Warren, Michigan, Lipari Foods is a leading independent distributor built around global and specialty foods.
