Job Description

The Learning and Development Specialist is responsible for providing guidance and support to identified business leaders as they determine appropriate development opportunities for their teams. Leveraging multiple resources within the larger Learning and Development Team, the Specialist will make recommendations, source options and content, and ultimately be responsible for the execution and measurement of local learning solutions. Position Summary:
Provides guidance for Managers, HR Partners, and other clients as determined. Performs thorough needs assessments and makes recommendations that drive the overall success of the client, department, and location. Certifies and develops trainer network within assigned markets for effective and consistent delivery of global programs and or technical training. Builds professional relationships with business partners and other internal stakeholders to create synergies and foster the sharing of best practices for talent development initiatives. Delivers "just in time" training opportunities in partnership with leaders in the field leveraging current and available resources to meet the developmental gaps identified in the needs analysis phase. Presents information with a variety of instructional techniques or formats. Proactively keeps leaders informed of development opportunities and resources. Identifies the developmental needs of others and provides coaching, resources, or mentoring, to help improve their knowledge or skills. Develops constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintains them over time. Keeps up-to-date technically and applies new knowledge to role. Facilitates engaging leadership development offerings both in-person and virtually. Serves as a liaison between the client and multiple support functions to drive solutions. Consults on Global Programs, as needed. Works independently and makes sound decisions. Understands and applies HGV Core Competencies (Customer Focus, Action Oriented, Collaborates, Instills Trust) in both their daily interactions and learning solutions. Maintain a high level of business literacy about assigned client groups' core function and culture Provide insights to drive continuous improvement of deliverables and collaborate in global and local efforts that support engagement Ensures continuity across the organization and facilitates local (trainings/needs/etc?) on site. Adheres to Company standards and maintains compliance with all policies and procedures. Performs other related duties as assigned.
