As a Youth Development Professional (YDP) , you'll spend your time making a real difference in the lives of kids and teens while gaining valuable experience in leadership, communication, teamwork, and youth development. You'll help create a fun, safe, and welcoming environment where Club members can learn, explore, build confidence, and just be kids. No two days are exactly alike—and that's part of the fun! You don't have to be a teacher or youth development expert to succeed here. We'll provide training, support, supplies, and curriculum that you can use and adapt to create engaging activities. What You'll Do As a YDP, you will: Plan and lead engaging activities and lessons for Club members. Build positive relationships with kids and serve as a positive role model. Help create a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment. Lead activities in areas such as: STEM and hands-on experiments Arts, creativity, and culture Career exploration Sports and athletics Outdoor recreation Healthy lifestyles Adapt activities to meet the interests and needs of different age groups. Work as part of a team to keep programming fun, organized, and engaging. Participate in field trips and special activities. Learn and apply youth development, safety, and trauma-informed care strategies. What the Club Is Really Like Be ready for a little bit of everything! What We're Looking For You must be at least 18 years old and have: A positive, enthusiastic attitude. The ability to work well with children and participate in activities with them. The ability to connect and relate to youth. Dependability and a strong sense of responsibility. The ability to work as part of a team. Flexibility and the ability to adapt when plans change—because they will! A willingness to learn about the Club's mission and youth development strategies. A commitment to being a positive role model for Club members. Previous experience teaching, coaching, babysitting, childcare, mentoring, or working with youth is preferred, but not required. Must be able to work well with children and actively participate in games and activities. Must be willing to learn and apply the Club's mission and youth development strategies. Must be able to relate positively to youth and serve as a good role model. Must successfully pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen, including marijuana . If asked to drive a company vehicle, must have: A valid driver's license A good driving record The minimum age required to operate the company vehicle CPR and First Aid certification is preferred. If not currently certified, certification must be obtained within the first 6 months of employment. Must be available Monday-Friday for full- or part-time hours between 7:45 AM and 6:00 PM . Physical Requirements & Work Environment This is an active, fast-paced job . You should be comfortable being on your feet and participating in activities with children, including outdoor activities.
