Job Description

About the role Alpha Digital One is a private developer of large-load commercial and industrial projects. We are looking for a consultant with electric utility or cooperative experience to support early-stage site research and utility outreach in North Dakota. What you will do Research electric service territories and infrastructure in North Dakota. Contact cooperatives and utilities to understand their process for serving new large loads. Use your industry knowledge to identify the right contacts and open conversations. Provide short weekly written updates. Who we are looking for Experience with a North Dakota electric utility or cooperative — for example a distribution cooperative, a generation and transmission cooperative such as Basin Electric or Minnkota Power, or an investor-owned utility such as Montana-Dakota Utilities, Otter Tail Power, or Xcel Energy. Background in engineering, system planning, staking, key accounts, member services, or economic development. Strong local industry relationships. Self-directed, clear communicator. Former and retired utility professionals are welcome.
Earning potential with completed projects:
$150,000-$300,000+ per year. Bonuses are tied to completed projects and are not guaranteed; without a completed project, earnings are the hourly base only. Please note This is an independent contractor engagement. You set your own schedule and methods. This role is not open to current employees of an electric utility or cooperative. Further project details are shared after an initial conversation and a confidentiality agreement. Pay:
$30.00 - $36.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 40.0 per week
