Type:

full-time Brunel Energy is recruiting a Technical Trainer to work with a major oil and gas company on a 12-month contract in Williston, ND. Summary The company is looking for a highly knowledgeable Technical Trainer with strong technical expertise and experience developing technical training programs and skills. The role will work closely with subject matter experts, the broader training organization, and governance councils to support training and competency development. The role may also support global curriculum development and training plans for Production and Midstream operations, helping ensure training supports the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of assets.

Responsibilities:

Demonstrate good leadership skills when working with line management and appropriate governing bodies (PLC, MLC, TLC, SSHELC, etc.) to apply Operations Training system requirements. Help establish, certify, and track compliance with Business Line training and skills development within operations, midstream, and support organizations. Work directly with the Training Supervisor to help ensure site training plans comply with expectations and best practices. Work with various subject matter experts to define final training product requirements and ensure global training objectives are met. Develop technical training programs and support the development of skills and competencies within assigned functional areas. May provide support for instructional system design (ISD), ensuring learning management systems support competency and training best practices and processes (e.g., GOTS, GMT). Support optimization and development of database functionality, customized reporting, key metrics, and resolution of complex issues related to learning management systems. May be responsible for developing global curriculum and establishing training plans and roadmaps for assigned functional support areas. Influence and collaborate effectively without direct authority.

Qualifications:

Knowledge of SSHE (Safety, Security, Health and Environment) management, including operations and maintenance. Knowledge of managing critical operations and operations-specific technology, units, or areas. Microsoft Office Suite experience, specially Microsoft PowerPoint Working knowledge of global training systems. Knowledge of general and specific units, HR technology, learning program management, vendor management, and instructional design as needed. Ability to work effectively with line management, SMEs, governance bodies, and other stakeholders. Experience in Oil & Gas training within the specified craft or functional area.
