Job Description

Job Summary The Training Specialist reports directly to and supports the Training Coordinator. This role is responsible for the daily administration, logistical coordination, and delivery assistance of proprietary and community-based peer recovery training curriculums. The ideal candidate will help maintain the fidelity of the organization's recovery models while engaging community stakeholders and participants. This position requires a willingness and ability to be accepted to work inside of State Dept of Corrections (Prisons, Correctional settings and transitional housing) facilities as well as other settings around the state. May require some travel and occasional overnights as we provide fee and contract based training both in and outside the State of NH. Must have a valid drivers license, a reliable vehicle available during work hours (mileage reimbursement included) and maintain 100K/300K liability insurance on your vehicle.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Training Support & Delivery Co-facilitate and deliver onboarding, orientation, and skills training programs alongside the Training Coordinator using group discussions, lectures, and simulations. Maintain and organize physical and digital training materials, including course manuals, guides, and updates approved by the Executive Director. Support the fidelity oversight of proprietary training content delivered by trainers of trainers for SOS. Logistics & Administration Coordinate day-to-day logistics for scheduling, venue setup, and participant tracking for all training curriculums. Manage training documentation , including attendance sheets, test results, evaluations, assessments, and retraining requirements. Assist with marketing efforts to promote upcoming training sessions to employees and community stakeholders. Community Outreach & Operations Facilitate outreach efforts and support fundraising, event planning, and training registration management. Identify participant satisfaction trends and suggest workflow or procedural improvements to the Training Coordinator. Project a positive image of the organization to all participants, industry partners, and the community.
Qualifications & Skills Communication & Presentation:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong public presentation abilities.
Technical Savvy:
Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and a variety of multimedia training platforms.
Peer-Recovery and Harm Reduction Sector Knowledge:
Thorough understanding of practices, theories, and policies involved in recovery support services, including harm reduction strategies and multiple pathways of recovery.
Interpersonal Skills:
Proven ability to practice Motivational Interviewing , listen to community feedback, and incorporate diverse perspectives to build positive relationships.
Flexibility:
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings as necessary to accommodate community needs.
Education & Experience Education:
Associate's in Human Services, Training, or a related field preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an instructional, administrative, or supportive role, preferably within a peer-based non-profit or recovery environment.
Required Certifications:
Certificate of Completion of The Art and Science of Peer Assisted Recovery , CCAR Recovery Coach Academy (or equivalent), and Ethical Considerations in Peer-Assisted Recovery training.
Credentialing:
A State of NH Certified Recovery Support Worker (CRSW) credential preferred or must obtain one within six months of hire.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 - 40.0 per week
