Kendal at Hanover is a not-for-profit continuing care retirement community and home to 400+ residents, which fosters the independence, vitality, health, and security of older persons and in which residents and staff may exercise their talents in a welcoming and supportive environment. The Kendal at Hanover Human Resources team is seeking a Staff Development & Support Specialist to work in collaboration with all departments to develop, coordinate, and deliver training, education, and employee engagement initiatives that enhance staff performance, personal and professional development, retention, and organizational culture for its 300 staff members. The person in this role will be responsible for organization-wide training and staff development; orientation and onboarding support; performance management and staff support; employee engagement development; and employer branding and recruitment support.
Some essential responsibilities include:
identifying training and development needs; designing and delivering training programs to support staff in their personal & professional development journey; serving as the primary administrator of the electronic learning system and maintaining training records; and creating performance improvement plans as needed. Education and Experience Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Social Services, or related field preferred, or equivalent directly applicable professional experience.
  • Experience in adult education, training coordination, counseling, or staff development in a health care or human service field is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and deliver effective training programs and maintain a strong customer-service focus.
  • Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • Sound judgement, effective professional boundary management, and discretion are required.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

$73,575 to $86,819 annually (prorated for a
