Join Lincoln Tech in partnership with NJ Transit to train their workforce in heavy-duty diesel and electronic systems. If you know this work inside and out and you're ready to shape the next generation of transit technicians, this is your next move.

This isn't a desk job. It's dynamic, mobile, and keeps you connected to the trade while building the skills of working professionals. You'll train at NJ Transit facilities in northern New Jersey, work with their employees, and stay engaged with the work while stepping into teaching. You'll influence how their workforce develops—and that matters.

Responsibilities of a

Diesel Technician Trainer:

Deliver NJ Transit's diesel and electronic curriculum through hands-on instruction in classrooms, workshops, and live work settings.

Teach diagnostic thinking—not just checklists—using advanced diagnostic software and tools.

Help shape curriculum that meets the demands of NJ Transit's fleet operations. Requirements of a

Diesel Technician Trainer:

5+ years of experience in diagnostic and repair of: Heavy-duty diesel engines and drivetrain

Electrical and electronic control systems

Brake systems Ability to explain complex repairs clearly and confidently.

ASE certifications or equivalent credentials preferred.

Experience with apprenticeship or workforce development programs is a bonus.
