Job Description
About us Revature trains early-career software engineers and places them with Fortune 500 clients and IT Consultancies across the US. We ve launched 10,000+ engineers into technology careers in the past 10 years. Our trainers are the reason it works. About the role You ll lead cohorts of 25-30 new engineers through an intensive 8-12 week program, delivered onsite at the client location, taking them from foundational skills to placed with a client in under three months. Few roles let you see your impact that clearly. This role is based in the Teaneck, NJ area and delivery is local. This role requires at least one extended out-of-town assignment per year (typically 8-12 weeks) at another client site. Additional travel beyond that is a plus, not a requirement. Between cohorts, work is remote. Experience 1+ years of hands-on software engineering experience 1+ years teaching, training, mentoring, or coaching software engineers (structured mentoring counts) Required Skills Strong working knowledge of Java and Spring Boot for building applications, REST APIs, and microservices Experience building modern web applications with React or Angular and integrating front-end and back-end components Solid understanding of SQL, relational databases, version control (Git), Agile methodologies, and CI/CD practices Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar Working knowledge of Generative AI concepts, including LLM APIs, prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and agentic AI workflows Additional Requirements Ability to deliver engaging instructor-led training to entry-level and experienced software engineers Legally authorized to work in the United States; this role does not offer visa sponsorship, now or in the future Willingness to travel for at least one extended out-of-town assignment per year (typically 8-12 weeks) Compensation and Benefits $70,000-$80,000 annually, based on experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and PTO.
