Summary:
The Mindfulness Coach provides Holistic Health and Fitness (HHF) support to Airmen assigned to the Contingency Response Wing (CRW). This position provides evidence-based mindfulness and cognitive resilience training designed to improve stress management, focus, decision-making, fatigue management, and overall mental performance in demanding operational environments.
Responsibilities Essential Job Functions:
- Develops and facilitates mindfulness, stress management, and cognitive resilience training for Airmen.
- Improve Airmen's mission-ready physical and mental performance and reduce preventable injuries.
- Enhance cognitive resilience, decision-making under stress, and fatigue management.
Provide evidence-based HP programs tailored to the Contingency Response Wing mission sets including high-tempo, short-notice deployments. This includes ensuring Airmen possess the strength, endurance, mobility, and durability to perform rapid airbase assessment and opening, heavy load carriage, equipment movements, and aircraft handling, security operations in contested or degraded environments, extended operations with limited rest cycles, and high-tempo mobility tasks requiring repeated explosive effort.
Provide portable, mission-specific HP guidance to Airmen before deployments, ensuring Airmen are fully equipped to maintain performance without contractor presence.
Support sustained readiness across diverse Air Force Specialty Codes (AFSCs) by designing HP solutions that reflect the varied demand of CRW career fields. Each AFSC must receive mission-specific performance guidance, including field-ready sustainment options.
Provide an integrated holistic evaluation for CRW Airmen and facilitate timely, responsiveness for strength & conditioning, functional strength, and mindfulness coaching.
Provides practical techniques to improve focus, attention, emotional regulation, decision-making under stress, and fatigue management
Performs other related duties as required and assigned
Qualifications Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
Demonstrate the ability to pivot HP support with the same agility expected of CRW forces.
Knowledge of mindfulness, stress management, cognitive resilience, and human performance principles
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively within an integrated Human Performance team
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in psychology or counseling with a NBCC accreditation for NCC.
Minimum two years of experience
S. citizenship
SECRET or provisional SECRET clearance prior to start
Experience supporting attention control, stress management, resilience, recovery, cognitive performance, or related human-performance activities is highly desirable
Travel:
CONUS travel may be required for meetings, conferences, training, and off-site training support.

Direct DoD/military or tactical-population experience Pay and Benefits The salary range for this position is $68,000.00 to $73,000.00 annually.
