Skills Trainer -Youth Transition Services Requirements:
Associates Degree in Human Services or related and 2+ years of directly related experience Reliable vehicle for transportation, valid driver's license, and proof of insurance Ability to communicate professionally and effectively in English, verbally and in writing; bilingual in English and Spanish a plus Sufficient agility for task performance which may involve lifting, bending, stooping, carrying, climbing, etc. (must be able to complete tasks assigned to service recipients) Ability to use computer technology skills including for word processing, data entry, emailing, and virtual meetings Ability to develop positive relationships with service recipients and supports, referral sources, and employersJob Duties:
Provide general and job specific employment training, and coaching at varied community work sites (internship placements), with assigned caseload of students Foster growth in persons served and model employer expectations through work appropriate appearance, professional communication, and safe behaviors Develop internship placement sites and maintain rapport with employers. Assist in the recruitment of new student participants by marketing the program, and ensure new students are properly processed Document student attendance, performance, and behaviors The ideal candidate will be a flexible team player, be able to evidence a passion for training youth with unique needs, and possess a willingness to advocate for work opportunities for youth!
