Job Description

Training and Engagement Specialist Welcome. Connect. Train. Help Employees Succeed. As a Training and Engagement Specialist at The Arc Columbia-Saratoga, you'll play an important role in welcoming new employees and helping them feel connected, prepared, and supported from the beginning. This position coordinates new hire onboarding and orientation, provides and organizes agency training, and serves as an ongoing resource to employees throughout their first year. Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM (30-minute unpaid lunch)
Hours:
40 hours per week
Pay Rate:

At The Arc Columbia-Saratoga, you'll belong, contribute, and make a difference." Key Responsibilities Coordinate onboarding and orientation activities for newly hired employees. Welcome new employees and introduce them to our mission, programs, services, and workplace culture. Serve as a primary resource and point of contact for employees during their initial employment period. Help new employees complete required training activities on time and as scheduled. Conduct and review new hire and agency training programs as assigned. Introduce new employees to key departments, staff, and agency resources. Orient employees to applicable computer systems and online learning platforms. Maintain ongoing contact with employees throughout their first year to provide support and resources. Coordinate the agency's annual training schedule, instructors, locations, and training materials. Maintain current training curricula, resources, records, and online training information. Collaborate with program management to identify and respond to changing training needs. Maintain required instructor certifications and support other agency instructors. Build relationships with community partners, educational resources, and other agencies to help keep training current and relevant. Maintain accurate training attendance and documentation in accordance with agency requirements.
