Position Summary The Training Specialist is responsible for meeting SFCU's training needs by facilitating instructor-led and virtual training programs across the credit union. This role plays a key part in delivering engaging learning experiences, supporting operational readiness, and partnering with subject matter experts and the L&D team to continuously improve training programs. Key Responsibilities
  • Assists in attaining departmental goals and adheres to all credit union policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal regulations. Promotes teamwork, respects the opinions and contributions of others, and demonstrates enthusiastic support for the credit union's mission, core values, and long-term objectives.
  • Facilitates onboarding, technical systems training, and other assigned learning programs through a variety of delivery methods, including in-person and virtual formats. Delivers engaging, effective learning experiences that build operational readiness and support employee development.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness and transfer of learning through assessments, observation, and learner engagement.
  • Partners with subject matter experts (SMEs), department leaders, and the L&D team to provide learner feedback, operational insights, and facilitation expertise that support the development and continuous improvement of training programs.
  • Uses Learning Management Systems (LMS), virtual training platforms, business equipment, multimedia tools, and related software, to support training delivery, course assignments, learner engagement, attendance tracking, troubleshooting, and learner support activities.
  • Maintains ongoing communication with the L&D Team, sharing updates on challenges, new developments, and other information relevant to departmental operations and learning initiatives. Attends meetings and supports coordination efforts.
  • Maintains training records and assists with reporting related to training activities, including participation, evaluation results, attendance tracking, and compliance-related training requirements.
